Dan has first-class experience working with prestigious corporations such as Neiman-Marcus, Harry & David, and M&M Mars, developing a proven track record in marketing, business leadership, and organizational management.
When Dan joined Neiman-Marcus he was accepted into their highly sought after “executive training program” (Only 18 out of over 1,000 applicants are accepted annually) and he held various executive marketing and merchandising positions in both the retail and mail-order divisions there. He was also the VP of Marketing at the Bear Creek Corporation, the parent company for Harry & David and Jackson & Perkins mail-order companies. Dan was recruited by M & M Mars to start up and head a direct response division, which he built into the leading premier box chocolate enterprise in the nation. Dan also served as president of Amish Acres, one of Indiana’s preeminent tourism businesses. More recently Dan has served as the Executive Director of the Northern Indiana Tourism Development Commission. Under his continuing leadership, NITDC has become recognized as one of the country’s pre-eminent regional tourism organizations. Through his vast experience, he is recognized as an expert in strategic business and marketing planning, branding, research, marketing, and organizational management. His success, dedication, and experience make him an asset to any project or corporation.
Robby Bearss graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Telecommunication and Marketing. For the last seven years, Robby has been the Marketing Director for Northern Indiana Tourism. Robby is an expert in digital marketing and has created multiple award-winning digital marketing programs for businesses across Northern Indiana. During his time at Northern Indiana Tourism, Robby helped oversee the Indiana Cool North brand creation and implementation. Robby is the leader of the Northern Indiana Marketing committee made up of members across the region. The committee focuses on unique collaborative marketing strategies that leverages the marketing power of all partners to reach highly targeted larger audiences and superior ROI.
